Good Shepherd Vestry Times September 2015

GOOD SHEPHERD VESTRY TIMES

September 2015

Welcome to the latest edition of the Vestry Times, a news blast designed to keep you updated on the workings of your Vestry. Here are some of the highlights from our most recent meeting:

Carol Wilson has joined the Vestry. Thank you Carol, for agreeing to serve out the 2015-2017 term!

The major meeting topic concerned a series of upcoming input sessions and communications we are calling “Vision 2020.” What we hope to accomplish is the crafting and development of a shared vision for Good Shepherd going forward. Vestry members will be hosting six cottage meetings and we encourage everyone to attend one of them so we can learn your hopes and dreams for our church family. A mailing went out on Sept. 16 to all parishioners inviting them to attend a cottage meeting, and providing some materials to be used as “conversation starters” for all of us. Please sign up for one of them on Sunday, or contact the office at 314-576-5502 or office@goodshepherdec.org to let us know which meeting you will attend.

Great news! Your generous contributions to the Capital Campaign mean that we will (weather permitting!) have the driveways and parking lot repaved soon. Be forewarned that there will be several days when it will most likely NOT be possible drive up to our buildings. The contractor has just let us know that they intend to begin the project on Monday, Oct. 5, and complete it by Friday, Oct. 9. We will do our best to keep everyone informed as we receive more information.
